Spearmint Essential Oil is a gentler, sweeter version of peppermint, spearmint only contains 0.5% of menthol. A far cry from peppermint’s 40% of menthol composition. Hence, spearmint is a much preferred mint option for children, the elderly and those with extra sensitive skin who find peppermint oil a tad too strong.
